Hobbies

      Have you ever taken up a new hobby? Every now and again I just get the urge to tackle something new. My fingers start twitchin' and my mind starts racin' with all the new things I could create. 

      Now, don't get me wrong, I usually give each hobby 100% right off the get-go, but that doesn't mean things always turn out pretty. Sweetheart, if I had a dollar for every new hobby I thought I could master overnight, I'd sure be one rich gal. The problem is that some hobbies are just plain hard or take a lot of time and patience. These days it seems like the older I get, the less waitin' I can stand to do. So, maybe I'm not cut out to make every thing from scratch or to crochet the prettiest scarf there ever was, but one day I'll find something that really whistles Dixie to me. Until then I guess I'll just have to keep on tryin' everything under the sun. Momma always said "Ya never know until ya try, darlin'."
